THE GRABIFY INNOVATION PROGRAM
The Grabify Innovation Program begins once the Project Agreement has been executed.
Across the interrelated stages of the Innovation Program, Grabify combines an advanced, Enterprise-Secured AI environment, patent-intelligence technologies, its know-how and resources, professional expertise, intellectual-property capabilities, and commercialization resources to further develop accepted human-originated innovations and enhance their technical, intellectual-property, and commercial value through commercialization.
Throughout the Innovation Program, Grabify determines, provides, and manages the resources it considers appropriate to the requirements of each Project and the particular stage of the transformation process.
The Innovation Program is exclusively funded by Grabify and is designed to transform human-originated innovations into commercial success.
WHERE THE PROJECT JOURNEY BEGINS
Project Setup
At the beginning of the Innovation Program, Grabify establishes the Project's Dedicated Knowledge Workspace within Grabify's Dedicated Confidential AI Environment and assigns a Grabify Project Manager, together with Project Specialist support.
The Dedicated Knowledge Workspace provides the Project-specific environment in which the innovation and related Project information, research, analysis, documentation, and other Project materials are organized and used throughout the Innovation Program.
Within the Dedicated Knowledge Workspace, Grabify's Enterprise-Secured AI capabilities are applied to support the investigation, research, analysis, refinement, validation, documentation, and further development of the innovation. The Project's Dedicated Knowledge Workspace is appropriately isolated from other Projects within Grabify's Dedicated Confidential AI Environment.
The Grabify Project Manager provides oversight and management of the Project, while the Project Specialist works directly on the innovation within the Project's Dedicated Knowledge Workspace in coordination with the Inventor.
Acceptance into the Grabify Innovation Program does not automatically provide the Inventor with direct access to the Project's Dedicated Knowledge Workspace. Direct access may be granted subject to appropriate AI proficiency, completion of any required training, applicable security and access-control requirements, and Grabify authorization.
Direct use by the Inventor of the AI capabilities available within the Project's Dedicated Knowledge Workspace is welcomed, subject to the Inventor's appropriate AI proficiency and completion of any required training, but is not required. Inventors who do not use the AI capabilities directly can participate in the Project through their Grabify Project Specialist.
DEVELOPING THE INNOVATION
Development & Value Enhancement
Grabify applies its Enterprise-Secured AI environment, know-how, resources, and professional capabilities to further develop the innovation, enhance its technical and intellectual-property value, and, consequently, increase its commercial value.
Project work may include, among other activities, investigation, research, analysis, refinement, potential contribution to subject matter ultimately claimed in a patent, validation, documentation, evaluation of alternatives, and other activities appropriate to the particular innovation.
The objective is to systematically enhance the innovation while preserving the human-originated inventive foundation of the Project.
TECHNOLOGY, KNOW-HOW & RESOURCES
Resources Applied to the Project
Throughout the Innovation Program, Grabify applies and manages a combination of technology, know-how, resources, and professional capabilities appropriate to the requirements of each Project.
These capabilities include:
Patent Intelligence
Patent-intelligence technologies supporting prior-art investigation, patent analysis, evaluation of the intellectual-property landscape, and identification of potentially relevant intellectual-property opportunities and risks.
Know-How & Resources
Grabify's know-how and resources applied throughout the Innovation Program to support the further development and enhancement of the innovation.
Professional Expertise
Specialized professional expertise that may be engaged where appropriate to the particular technical, intellectual-property, commercial, or other requirements of the Project.
IP Protection
Intellectual-property resources directed toward developing and implementing an appropriate intellectual-property strategy, including obtaining and maintaining appropriate patent protection for the innovation and other protection for Project intellectual property.
Commercialization
Resources and capabilities directed toward identifying, evaluating, developing, and pursuing opportunities to realize the innovation's commercial value.
Every accepted Project is also assigned a Grabify Project Manager, together with Project Specialist support, as part of Project Setup.
Grabify determines, provides, funds, and manages the combination of resources it considers appropriate to the requirements of each Project throughout the Innovation Program.
PROTECTING THE INNOVATION
Intellectual-Property Protection
Grabify funds, coordinates, and manages the intellectual-property strategy for the Project, including patent-related work in the United States and, where appropriate, selected foreign jurisdictions.
Patent professionals and other appropriate expertise may be engaged as required to prepare, file, prosecute, and otherwise protect Project intellectual property. When appropriate, inventorship is determined under applicable law based on the substantive human contributions to the subject matter ultimately claimed in a patent.
The intellectual-property strategy may develop throughout the Innovation Program as further investigation, research, analysis, refinement, and development of the innovation identify additional features, alternatives, improvements, technical solutions, or other potentially protectable subject matter.
Where appropriate, patent-intelligence technologies and professional expertise may be used to support the evaluation of relevant prior art, the intellectual-property landscape, potential patentability, and the development of the Project's intellectual-property strategy.
Following the development and value-enhancement process, securing appropriate patent protection is one of Grabify's major objectives and is intended to further enhance the commercial value of the innovation.
REALIZING COMMERCIAL VALUE
Commercialization
Grabify actively pursues commercialization opportunities for accepted Projects and leads and manages the commercialization strategy, subject to the Project Agreement.
Depending on the Project, commercialization may involve, among other approaches, licensing, strategic relationships, direct market opportunities, or other structures appropriate to realizing the innovation's commercial value.
Grabify may identify and evaluate potential markets, applications, commercialization pathways, prospective licensees, strategic partners, and other commercial opportunities relevant to the Project. The commercialization strategy may evolve as the innovation is further developed, its intellectual-property position is established, and new commercial opportunities are identified.
Where appropriate, Grabify may engage professional expertise and other resources to support the evaluation, negotiation, structuring, and implementation of commercialization opportunities.
The objective is to convert the enhanced and protected innovation into successful commercialization and realized commercial value.
THE ECONOMIC MODEL
Sharing Commercial Success
Under Grabify's standard economic model, applicable actual Project Costs are first recovered from commercialization proceeds.
The remaining net commercialization proceeds represent the parties' agreed participation in the commercial value realized from the Project.
